urban sketching 29.8.: Donaupark

And this months urban sketching work is here - As you might have noticed, it was today - Yes, I actually scanned and uploaded it the very day it was drawn! Ha, I'm so motivated lately

We went to the Donaulände which is the park next to the Danube. It was a pretty hot and sunny day, luckily Wolfgang had some sunscreen that I could borrow

First sketch was a woman sitting on a rock doing yoga - Sadly she left when I started drawing so I had to draw her from memory I liked how the branches framed the scene and created a stark contrast against the bright sky, so I used ink and a brush to capture that. The rest was drawn with dip pen.

Next I wanted to practise water colour, so I chose a cool looking big tree. Also ink for the lines. And I'm quite pleased with how the colours turned out, considering that I had to rush and I also only had my tiny brush with me. I'm starting to get better at colours!

Anyways, that was my last urban sketching session while living in Linz - Not sure if or how often I'll be able to join again once I live in Salzburg, but I'll try. I'm really glad I joined this group, it's really fun to draw together, especially with such nice people
